Beetlejuice Beetlejuice fans call out film’s ‘low-grade special effects’ after trailer with original cast is released
BEETLEJUICE Beetlejuice fans have mixed reactions to the sequel film’s special effects in a brand new trailer.
Most of the original cast has returned for the second installment of the beloved ’80s horror comedy film.
Winona Ryder, 52, is front and center in the latest trailer as she reprises her role as Lydia Deetz.
In the footage, Lydia has since grown up from her teenage days and returned to the haunted house from her childhood.
The Stranger Things actress reunites with her original co-star, Catherine O’Hara, who played Lydia’s mother, Delia Deetz.
The Deetz family has grown since the ’80s as newcomer Jenna Ortega, 21, joins the cast as Lydia’s daughter, Astrid Deetz.
Michael Keaton, 72, is also back in the role of the rambunctious spirit known as Beetlejuice.
Helming the horror comedy once more is director Tim Burton, who brings his signature Gothic and quirky style.
