Welcome to Julio Torres’s Fantasma-gal Emporium
Sometimes, the most important thing HBO can do is just … let a mind run wild. That appears to be what it’s done with Julio Torres’s upcoming series, Fantasmas (which does feel like it should be said only in a whisper). The trailer for the series, which was originally titled Little Films, came out on May 23, and it features:
1. Every actor ever.
2. A series of fantastical situations.
3. Torres saying “hi” a lot, which is somehow one of the funniest things ever committed to film.
The guest starring actors seen in the trailer include: Alexa Demie, Steve Buscemi, Tomás Matos, Jaboukie Young-White, Paul Dano, Dylan O’Brien, Aidy Bryant, Emma Stone, Rachel Dratch, and a robot who is forcing Greta Titelman to overact, just to name a few. Was Meryl Streep busy? Fantasmas premieres on HBO on Friday, June 7. This is gonna be the strangest game of Where’s Waldo? ever.
