A BEAUTY guru has revealed how they were able to reverse the signs of aging on their skin without invasive treatments.
They confessed to having initially panicked when they noticed their skin had lost its youthfulness.

Writing under the handle Wileyonpatrol, the Redditor spoke candidly about their own desire to defy the signs of aging.
“I’ve had the same panic attack these last couple of years,” they said.
“I’ve scoured this sub for advice and have methodically tried everything from face yoga to massage.
“I will tell you that most things are a total waste of time and money.”
The Redditor listed four changes they made that visibly improved their appearance.
“1. a good retinol cream at night, wait a few minutes then follow with castor oil,” they said.
“2. Drinking a glass of water every hour, rather than a liter all at once, which can actually dehydrate you.
“3. A whole-fat yogurt mask every other day for 20 minutes (this one is actually insane how much this helped my skin).
“4. adding in some exercise three times a week — it improves blood flow to the skin and so has a plumping effect.”
The Redditor wished those who tried their tips “good luck” in recreating their results.
As the post was highly upvoted, they shared a product recommendation for yogurt face masks.
“I don’t use a recipe — I just buy some Nancy’s yogurt, whole fat, with probiotics,” they said.
“You can use any brand though. It’s the natural lactic acid in yogurt that does the trick.
“It evens my skin tone, brightens it, and tightens my pores.
“It helps with my acne breakouts and rosacea too.
“Dirt cheap skincare and nothing has worked better — not even my skincueticals ferulic acid serum, which I do love, but it’s really not giving me better results than my yogurt, to be honest.
Anti-aging tips and 'superstar' products
Dr. Anatalia Moore is a GP and skin specialist with over 11 years of clinical experience.
She told The U.S. Sun that her goal is to equip patients with the knowledge they need to take control of their skin journey.
She said the fundamental basics of a beauty routine are the same for all ages — it should include an effective cleanser, moisturizer, and SPF.
“Moisturizers are my superstar, even over products containing active ingredients,” she said.
“Finding a well-balanced moisturizer that provides the right kind of hydration, replaces natural oils, and seals them in, literally stabilizes your skin.
“This in itself quickly can soften the appearance of fine lines and texture, as often these are worsened by dehydration.
“It also allows the skin to function as it should.
“It then can heal faster, which, among many things, can lead to fewer lines and wrinkles, less flares of dermatitis and rosacea, and shorter-lived, milder breakouts.”

- Obagi Hydrate and Hydrate Lux moisturizer, $78
- Adequate sleep
- Balanced diet
- Reducing stress
“Another thing I get good results from is a raw honey mask for 20 minutes.
“I like to alternate between the yogurt and honey throughout the week bc [because] I swear my skin gets too used to things.
“I do a yogurt mask, skip a day, do honey, skip a day, then yogurt, etc.
“Better than any vitamin c/ferulic acid serum, I’m telling you. Though I don’t think it replaces a retinol cream.”
According to Medical News Today, retinol is a form of vitamin A that comes as a liquid, gel, cream, or emollient.
It can be bought over the counter up to 2%, but stronger retinoids require a prescription.
Retinol has been shown to improve skin texture and stimulate collagen production.
However, it can increase skin’s sensitivity to the sun and therefore needs to be used with sunscreen.
