One of the 17 Lok Sabha constituencies in Telangana, the Hyderabad seat has long been an All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) stronghold for the past three decades, with the seat being passed on from Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi to his son Asaduddin Owaisi, the current Member of Parliament.
