Saputara, Gujarat's only hill station, surrounded by forests, faced a weak summer season with over 30% vacant rooms. Hospitality businesses, represented by Upendra Patel from SHOA, blamed heatwaves and extreme weather for the decline in tourists. Only 70% of rooms were occupied even on weekends.
