Dropping back to small
Hello Friends,
Quite a contrast from yesterday morning. Swell slumped from 5 metres at sea around 0900 yesterday to 1.5 metres at the same time today. Conditions were looking pretty attractive otherwise, with light offshore wind and sunny skies. Waves were in the waist to maybe chest-high range on the bigger sets at Dee Why. The point was just barely rideable with a mal and the beachies were tending to shutdown even though the swell’s just 8-seconds apart.
From the look of the swell models, the current conditions should continue for the remainder of the work week and into the weekend possibly.
Have a good one!
Weather Situation
A low pressure system off the far south coast weakens while heading further south, and the system, with its associated trough, will linger over the Tasman Sea through the first half of the week. Then, another coastal low looks set to develop off the central coast on Thursday, bringing a surge of fresh southerly winds along the southern half of the coast, before slowly heading off to the Tasman Sea during the latter parts of the week.
