'Doggie Date Night' coming soon to Evergy Plaza

TOPEKA (KSNT) - Topeka and Shawnee County dog owners are being invited to bring their pets to the downtown Topeka for "Doggie Date Night" later this month.
Shawnee County Parks and Recreation (SCP+R) announced in a press release that it is partnering up with the West Ridge Animal Health Center to offer this special event opportunity to local dog owners. Multiple vendors offering pet-related products will be at Evergy Plaza for the event along with numerous pet-themed activities like a dog photo booth.
Sean Zears with SCP+R said people can also send in photos of their dogs to the SCP+R Facebook page for a chance to be featured on the Evergy Plaza big screen in downtown Topeka. People must send in their photos by Thursday, June 6 for this opportunity.
Doggie Date Night will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 8. The SCP+R Facebook page can be fond by clicking here.
