Chicago Sports Network is the new broadcast home of the White Sox, Bulls and Blackhawks

The Chicago White Sox formally announced on Monday that the team will be leaving NBC Sports Chicago to join with the Chicago Bulls and Blackhawks in a new joint broadcast network formally known as Chicago Sports Network (CHSN).
While details are scant at the moment, this is big news with regard to how Chicago sports fans will view their favorite teams in the near future. As the number of cord cutters continue to flee a dying cable model, and regional sports networks tied to cable subscribers struggle to stay afloat, launching a new network in such a media climate is curious. Jerry Reinsdorf is no stranger to failed sports networks, of course, as White Sox fans of a certain age remember ever-so-fondly ...
The CHSN press release mentions that agreements with cable and streaming providers will be in place upon launch, but no further information is available. Will the Sox, Bulls, and Hawks avoid the same pitfalls the Cubs experienced just a few years ago when launching Marquee? We shall see.
