Cowboys' Season Ends with Regional Loss to Florida
Oklahoma State's baseball team once again struggled on offense and the Cowboys lost to Florida 4-2 on Monday in the NCAA regional final at O'Brate Stadium in Stillwater.
The Cowboys collected just five hits for the game and scored just two runs for the second game in a row against the Gators.
After Florida scored twice in the third inning, OSU responded with a run in the fourth inning, as Aiden Meola doubled in Zach Ehrhard to cut the Florida lead to 2-1.
The Gators got the run back in the bottom of the fourth, then OSU came back with another run in the fifth inning, but could have had more.
The Cowboys loaded the bases with nobody out, and could only get one home, as Zach Ehrhard got a sacrifice fly to score Tyler Wulfert.
Florida added a solo home run in the sixth inning from Tyler Shelnut to provide the final run.
OSU's season ends at 42-19, and for the third straight year, the Cowboys season ends by being eliminated in a home regional.
It's just the fifth time in NCAA history a team has failed to win a home regional in three consecutive seasons.
