If successful, you will get an exclusive first try of products yet to hit Aldi’s shelves.

You’ll also get sent Aldi’s most popular crisps to sample at home for free.

These include Aldi’s Specially Selected Mature Cheddar & Red Onion Hand Cooked, the Snackrite Perfections Thai Sweet Chilli and Snackrite Saucy Nibbley Nobblies.

Once you have tucked into the crisps, you will give your review on their taste, crunch, texture and appearance, and will help the supermarket’s Buying Team on potential future flavours.

The website says: “We’re looking for one very lucky snack connoisseur to take on the role of a lifetime and become our official Crisp Taster.

“If you land the job, we’ll send you a range of Aldi crisps to taste and review.

“All you have to do is share your thoughts and let us know which packs get your official Crisp Taster seal of approval.”

If you are keen to be selected for their brand new role, all you need to do is create a short application video explaining why you should be Aldi’s first ever Crisp Taster.

You should also include your name, age,  where you’re from, and your social media handles, if you have them, and your favourite Aldi crisps.

The supermarket added: “We love enthusiasm, so be sure to share plenty of it!”

Entrants must be aged 16 and over and submit their application by June 16 via the website.

They added: “If you’re the lucky winner, we’ll need you to be available to taste the crisps at home between June 17 and July 1.”

Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi UK, said: “What our shoppers think is so important to us.

“It’s crucial we listen to their honest feedback so we can ensure our products continue to deliver on taste, while also offering unbeatable value.

“Sales of snacks such as crisps and nuts skyrocketed by +40 per cent during the World Cup in 2022, so we expect our crisps to be in high demand this summer with Euros 2024.

“What better timing to find out what our most passionate snack fans have to say?”

When's the best time to shop at Aldi?

WHEN it comes to shopping at Aldi, the best time to do so depends on what you want to buy.

For reduced items – when shops open

Red sticker items are rare at Aldi’s 830 UK stores, but the supermarket says that none of its food goes to waste so there are some to be found – if you’re quick.

A spokesman for the supermarket said: “All items are reduced to 50 per cent of the recommend sales price before stores open on their best before or use by dates.”

That means you have the best chance of finding reduced food items if you go into stores as soon as it opens.

Opening times vary by shop but a majority open from 7am or 8am. You can find your nearest store’s times by using the supermarket’s online shop finder tool.

For Specialbuys – Thursdays and Sundays

Specialbuys are Aldi’s weekly collection of items that it doesn’t normally sell, which can range from pizza ovens to power tools.

New stock comes into stores every Thursday and Sunday, so naturally, these are the best days to visit for the best one-off special deals.

For an even better chance of bagging the best items, head there for your local store’s opening time.

You don’t have to head into stores to bag a Specialbuy, though.

They also go on sale online, usually at midnight on Thursday and Sunday, and you can pre-order them up to a week in advance.

As long as you spend at least £25, you’ll get the items delivered for free.

Remember: once they’re gone, they’re gone, so if there’s something you really want, visit as early as possible
