From thinking you’re ‘better than other people’ to the ultimate Primark fan, here’s what your nails really say about you
ARE you more of a bright neon manicure type of girl? Or someone who always goes for the classic white French tips?
Well, whichever your go-to nail trend is, it’s not just a personal preference – as according to one beauty fan, one’s manicure can reveal quite a bit about the character of the person wearing it.
And whilst some are ”super wealthy” and probably wouldn’t think twice about buying designer gear, other trends are screaming ”Primark”.
So, are you amongst the classy ones? Or love all things vintage? Scroll down to see the answers below…
Super thin French tips
Whether it’s the festive season or you’re packing for a beach holiday abroad, you can never go wrong with a classic, super thin French tip manicure.
However, if you’re opting for ”a very natural colour” on the base that blends with your skin tone almost perfectly, the whizz, TikTok user @thenowthegorgeous, reckoned you think of yourself as ”better” than everyone else.
In your eyes, she said in the video, you pride yourself in being ”classy” – however, that’s also ”probably” the case.
Another explanation for choosing a more subtle design, she added, was working a job ”where you can’t have really out there nails”.
Jazzed-up French tips
Don’t feel like going all out but want to add a little something-something to your French tips with some glam bling on top?
If that sounds like your cup of tea, the TikTok user reckoned you’re loaded with money.
”Probably an expat, like early 20s, late teens – or you live in Croydon and get the tram to school every day.”
Short French tips
Another cult favourite loved by many is short, boxy French tips, oftentimes with a rather square design.
If this is what your nails typically look like, the beauty lover said there were two possible reasons behind this.
”You’re either 14 and it’s all you can afford – or they’re press-ons from Primark.”
Bright gel nails
With summer practically here, many of us have been venturing out and adding a pop of colour on our nails too.
Did the recent trip to the nail shop saw you walk out with a stunning bright neon manicure? Then you most likely work in marketing and your wardrobe is full of tiered midi dresses.
Another firm staple in your summer outfits are velcro sandals, she added in the clip.
Burgundy red manicure
Do you switch from light hues to more darker shades when summer’s over and the autumn season has arrived?
If that sounds like a bit of you, the beauty lover said you’re obsessed with vintage style and also watch ”female derogatory” programmes like The Wizard.”
How To Save Money On Beauty Buys
IF your purse is feeling tighter than ever before and you're looking to save cash on your make-up routine, have you ever thought of trying out beauty dupes?
Here’s five of the best recommended beauty buys that are almost identical to the posh versions, but for a fraction of the price.
FACE BASE: If you can’t afford Charlotte Tilbury‘s £52 Magic Cream, why not try a dupe that costs just £5.49 from Superdrug?
TONE IT UP: If Drunk Elephant’s £62 Protini moisturiser is out of your price range, you’ll need to check out the new dupe in Home Bargains.
TINTING IT: With Fenty’s ‘game-changer’ skin tint costing an eye-watering £29, a popular supermarket’s affordable alternative might just be the thing for you.
GET COVERED: At £29 for a Tarte concealer, the new Primark dupe is much more affordable at just £3.50.
SPRAY YAY: For those wanting to smell fresh, without the price tag, Aldi’s new Prada and Chloe perfume dupes cost a fraction of the price.
Cherries and heart art
Meanwhile, if you’re obsessed with juicy cherries – or even adorable pearl hearts – to complete the visit to the nail shop, you’re doing it all for Instagram.
The beauty fanatic said people with detailed nail art are either posers – or have been ”incarcerated in a mental hospital before”.
Did she get it right? Dozens of social media users flocked to comments to share their thoughts.
One said: ”Omg the short gel as a marketing girl this was accurate.”
”As soon as I saw the gel colourful nails I thought of my cousin who works in marketing,” someone else chuckled.
”Was ready to call BS but whyyyyy was this so accurate,” another chimed in.
