Club insider reveals how many companies Spurs have talked to about investment
Tottenham Hotspur insider, Paul O’Keefe, who regularly breaks news via his X account, reports that the club have held talks with five or six different investment companies.
O’Keefe reported earlier this week that Spurs had entered into talks with US-based investment firm, MSP Sports Capital, about a potential minority investment of up to a 40 per cent stake.
This has reportedly been denied by Tottenham themselves (Football London), but Daniel Levy has openly admitted in the past that he has been speaking to potential investors following the release of the club’s 2022/23 financial results.
The Daily Mail also reported back in April 2024 that Tottenham were in talks with two different American investors over a potential agreement, so it seems the club are very much open to discussions.
Tottenham are in talks about financial investment
O’Keefe has now taken to X to reveal that Spurs have held talks with five or six different firms about a potential investment into the club, although he does not name the companies (apart from MSP Sports Capital).
He tweeted: ‘5/6 groups have held talks / in talks. Spurs obvious deny that anything is particularly advanced and rubbish most but they are very much looking for investment as Levy openly admits.’
It remains to be seen whether these apparent talks actually lead to any investment in Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs Web Opinion:
Investment is all well and good but Tottenham need to make sure they get into bed with the right people. Fans will expect investment into the team, not just investment into the overall infrastructure of the club. Hotels are lovely and all, but we need trophies too.
