News and Notes: Reporters Reminisce About Ten-Cent Beer Night
News and Notes for Tuesday, June 4th, 2024
The Guardians had a day off Monday, so Guardians beat writers were able freely to release reflection pieces on the 50th anniversary of Ten-Cent Beer Night.
Zack Meisel had a great article on the infamous event for the Athletic, as did Tom Withers for the AP. Marc Bona covered it for Cleveland dot com.
The Royals come to Cleveland tonight for a series between the first and second place teams in the AL Central, currently.
The Super Regionals in College Baseball are set with Georgia, Oregon State, West Virginia, Texas A&M and Florida all represented. So, Guardians fans can see Charlie Condon, Travis Bazzana, JJ Wetherholt, Braden Montgomery and Jac Caglianone continue to compete.

Five SEC squads claim regionals which is tied with the ACC for the most this season. We’ll see no SEC vs SEC super matchups, but do have four on one side of the bracket.
