Hilliard planning to revamp local playground, asking community for input
HILLIARD, Ohio (WCMH) - The city of Hilliard is in the process of designing a new playground and is asking the community for its input.
The city is planning to replace its old playground equipment at Heather Ridge Park, according to the city's social media page. Heather Ridge Park is located at 4833 Hawkstone Rd. within the Heather Ridge subdivision. The city says the park offers its playground along with a picnic area and green space. Heather Ridge is one of 25 parks operated in the city.
With its plans to revamp the equipment, the city is asking the community to give feedback on what the new additions to the park should be. This includes the types of playground equipment, access and signage, according to the city.
The city of Hilliard is holding its public meeting discussing the new equipment on June 10 at 5:30 p.m. at the Hilliard Senior Center located at 3810 Veterans Memorial Dr. Community members will be able to share their ideas with the city on what the new park should include.
