Shania Twain Wasn’t Afraid to Poke Fun at Herself After This Onstage Mix-Up
Shania Twain may be one of the biggest names in country music, but she’s not taking herself too seriously.
In addition to her skin-baring outfits and colorful wigs, Twain proved she can totally have some fun on stage during a little mix-up in Las Vegas over the weekend. In the moment, she was singing her hit song “(If You’re Not In It For Love) I’m Outta Here!” before accidentally singing into a sparkly pink drumstick instead of the microphone, per Us Weekly.
“Oh my god, that was hilarious!” she said into the microphone before she recovered and continued singing.
On Instagram, Twain shared a fan’s video of the moment with her followers. “I’m really glad somebody captured this moment, it’s made me laugh all over again ????,” she wrote in the caption.
As for her look, Twain looked stunning onstage in a black mini-skirt, corseted black top, knee-high matching boots and black gloves. She then accessorized the look with a blonde wig with darker roots and soft waves.
In the comments, fans of the country star can be seen celebrating her being a good sport. “Too funny!! She laughs at herself what a good sport. Show your only human,” commented one user. “The absolute best part of every one of your shows (and I speak confidently having been to 18!) is you just being unapologetically yourself!!” echoed another. “We love that you don’t take yourself too seriously to have a little fun!!!”
The show, in addition to giving us this hilarious moment, also marked the end of the first leg of Twain’s Vegas residency, Come On Over (tickets available HERE!). After that, she’ll only return to the Sin City stage in August, starting on August 23 through December 14.
“Waking up dreaming after an ⚡️ ELECTRIC ⚡️ weekend at @bakkttheaterlv – What a way to end the first leg of my Come On Over residency!” Twain shared on Instagram following the show. “Thank you to everyone for coming out and partying with us… Roll on August when we’re back for round two!! ????❤️????????”
