How to watch Summer Game Fest 2024 – full schedule and what to expect from the showcases

THE Summer Game Fest is just around the corner, and it’s one of the best weeks of the year for gamers, packed with announcements and world premieres for upcoming games.

We now have all the details about the showcases that will take place during the event, with start times, where to watch, and what to expect.

With an opening event hosted by Geoff Keighley, the Summer Game Fest starts this Friday[/caption]

Summer Game Fest will kick off with a two-hour show hosted by Geoff Keighley from YouTube Theater in Los Angeles.

As Keighley teased earlier this week in a Q&A session about the show on Twitch, this year’s opening event will largely focus on “existing games that have new updates for fans”.

Of course gamers should also expect new announcements but these won’t be for “games that are years and years out,” Keighley pointed out.

Summer Game Fest will start on June 7, 2024, at 10pm UK Time / 2pm PT / 5pm ET and will be streamed live on the Game Awards YouTube channel.

The opening event will be followed over the next few days by a number of showcases organized by different publishers or focused on specific types of games.

Summer Game Fest 2024 showcases

Day of the Devs starts right after the opening show on the same stream and will focus on indie game reveals.

Dubbed Volvy’s 15th Birthday Party, the Devolver Direct will also stream on the main SGF channel, offering exclusive looks at publisher Devolver’s next games.

The Future of Play Direct will be about family-friendly games, followed by the Wholesome Direct for cosy and optimistic games.

The Latin American Games Showcase focuses on over 70 upcoming titles from Latin American developers and will be streamed on YouTube.

SGF Women-Led Games looks at titles produced at game studios led by women.

The event will be streamed on the same channel, but will use a separate link for Day 2 of SGF.

Presented by GamesRadar, Future Games Show is a general showcase of PC and console games.

Microsoft will reveal upcoming titles from its game studios at Xbox Games Showcase, followed by a special in-depth look at Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

Xbox Games Showcase and the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Direct will be streaming on the main SGF channel.

The PC Gaming Show is dedicated to games coming for PC, and you can watch it on PC Gamer’s YouTube channel.

Finally, Ubisoft will hold its own Forward showcase with exclusive looks at Star Wars Outlaws, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and XDefiant.
