Report: Tottenham star is receiving support from the club after tear gas mugging
According to The Standard, Tottenham Hotspur are in regular contact with Yves Bissouma and have offered him and his family their full support after the midfielder was the victim of a mugging in France on Sunday.
It was reported by The Sun that Bissouma had his £260,000 watch stolen after muggers sprayed tear gas in his face in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The incident happened outside the Majestic Barriere Hotel in Cannes at around 4 am, with Bissouma and his wife being attacked as they got out of their car.
It is revealed that the robbers ripped the watch from the player’s wrist before getting away in a car, leaving both the player and his wife shocked.
It was explained that while Bissouma and his partner were initially planning on spending several days in the French resort, they decided to return to England later on Sunday after the harrowing incident.

Tottenham have now confirmed that they are offering the player full support and are continuing to check on him and his family.
A club’s spokesperson told The Standard: “We are aware of the incident that took place and we will continue to check on the welfare of Yves and his family.”
