Truck hits ambulance head-on after brakes fail in Topeka

TOPEKA (KSNT) - Topeka police officers were called Tuesday afternoon to the scene of a two-vehicle crash involving a truck and ambulance.

A 27 News reporter was told by an officer with the Topeka Police Department (TPD) the crash occurred on June 4 at the intersection of SE 19th Street and SE Adams Street. A truck driver was traveling south on Adams Street when a brake failure occurred.

The truck slid into the oncoming lane of traffic where it hit an ambulance traveling to an emergency head-on. No injuries were reported in this crash.
