Driver who died in fiery Tesla crash in Weston identified

The driver of a Tesla who crashed in Weston last week and was found dead after the car fully caught on fire has been identified as 26-year-old Adrian Di Loreto Para, a resident of Sunny Isles Beach in Miami-Dade County, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said.

Di Loreto Para was driving on State Road 84 near Bonaventure Boulevard about 3:30 a.m. May 26 when he drove off the road while entering the U-turn lane to continue under the Interstate 75 overpass, the Sheriff’s Office said in a news release Tuesday. His 2024 Tesla Model 3 crashed into a support beam for the overpass and was engulfed in flames.

Para was pronounced dead at the scene and could not be identified at the time because of how badly he was burned, the Sheriff’s Office said. The Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate.
