Traffic light changes to be made in Glens Falls
GLENS FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- The Glens Falls Downtown Revitalization Initiative is completing streetscaping work near South and Elm Street, which will replace the traffic light at the intersection with a four-way stop. On Thursday, city officials said the traffic light would blink red until it was removed on Friday, June 7.
The change is being made with the expectation that the DRI South Street Marketplace project will increase pedestrian traffic once the building is complete. The city's traffic studies suggested a four-way stop as a traffic calming method.
Residents and Glens Falls community members are asked to be vigilant as the changes are implemented. Anyone with questions about the changes can contact the city of Glens Falls by calling (518) 761-3811.
