‘Poor kid’ say trolls as Heidi Montag picks up son from school in ’embarrassing’ outfit but others say they’re ‘jealous’

HEIDI Montag was left “embarrassed” by her outfit when she went to pick up her six-year-old son Gunner from school.

The reality star is no stranger to showing off her figure in skimpy ensembles.

But she admitted her latest outfit was going to turn heads for all the wrong reasons at the school gates.

In a video on her TikTok page, Heidi wore a sparkly silver crop top and jeans as she headed to the school – with her washboard stomach on full display.

“My outfit to pick up my son is very embarrassing,” she said.

Heidi wore her blonde hair loose and long, and made the ensemble slightly more casual with the addition of trainers.

She also carried a designer handbag on one arm.

“I need to remind myself to always bring a change of clothes when I pick him up from school,” she added.

However, people in the comments section were quick to reassure Heidi that mums elsewhere in the world wear a lot worse to get their kids from school.

“Wear what you want. Mums wear pj’s in England!” one wrote.

“At least you’re looking glamorous!”

“I pick up my kids looking absolutely HOMELESS,” another admitted.

“My daughter picks up our grandkids like this!” a third laughed.

“Lol- who cares, love who you are! Beautiful.”

“My mum came to dismiss me from a detention in Daisy Dukes bro,” someone else said.

“At least yours is only a crop top & he probably won’t even remember lol!”

And others insisted that Heidi looked incredible in the outfit, so she could pull it off – even on the school run.

“You look great so it’s not embarrassing,” one wrote.

Why do schools have such strict rules about appearance?

WHY is it that students aren't allowed dyed hair, painted nails, tattoos or piercings at school? Surely they should be allowed to express their individuality?

Well, according to Quora, there are five main reasons that such appearance alterations are banned in school.

1. Maintaining a professional appearance

Students are required to stick to the uniform policy in order to present themselves in a professional manner. Doing so helps create a sense of discipline and respect for the learning environment.

2. Safety concerns

In some situations, there could be safety concerns about an appearance change. This would be applicable if someone was to have extremely long hair that wasn’t tied up, for example, as it could get caught in equipment during PE lessons or while playing with friends.

3. Minimising disruption

Many schools have a strict policy regarding students’ appearance in a bid to minimise disruption. Some education centres believe that someone having brightly-coloured dyed hair, or a large piercing, ends up being a distraction to other students, and therefore detracts from the learning process.

4. Preparation for the work place

Many jobs – especially corporate or medical ones – have strict rules regarding appearance, with piercings, tattoos and dyed hair all on the banned list. So preventing the students from having these alterations at schools means they’ll be prepared for not being allowed them when they’ve got a job too.

5. Cultural/social norms

Schools may seek to reflect the norms of what’s considered appropriate or acceptable in different cultures and communities in their policies.

“You’re not a regular mum, you’re a cool mum,” another added.

“No, not embarrassing!!” a third commented.

“Mother to mother, you’d give me inspiration to step my own game up.”

“It’s okay, you’re iconic girl, don’t stress!” someone else wrote.

“But you’re Heidi Montag,” another added.

But others disagreed, saying that Heidi was embarrassing both her son and herself with the barely-there outfit.

“Yes it is!” one insisted.

“So embarrassing,” another raged.

“I like mum Heidi better than need to make money Heidi!”

“And you can’t figure that out when you get dressed like that to grab a change of clothes to change into before you go pick your son up at school?” a third questioned.

“I’ve been there butttt stop at target or something for a t shirt at leastttt!” someone else said.

“You do it on purpose, let’s be serious,” another said.

Heidi shares sons Gunner and Ryker with husband Spencer Pratt.
