Midcap IT companies in India have successfully attracted more employees from larger rivals in the past two years, gaining around 8,000 employees from top-tier firms while losing only 3,800. This shift is driven by midcaps’ need for readily deployable talent in niche technologies amid economic pressures. Notably, they also absorbed over 100 senior executives from tier-1 companies, against 22 lost to larger rivals. Experts attribute this to midcaps' agility, faster growth rates, and strategic focus on niche engineering services, enhancing their appeal despite market challenges.
