The Route 66 Blue Hippo festival returns to Edmond
EDMOND, Okla. (KFOR) - Oklahomans looking to experience the Route 66 Blue Hippo Festival this year can expect it to be themed around Edmond's Route 66 novelty, the Blue Hippo with the Edmond History Museum.
Participants can expect family-friendly activities, performances, artists and all things blue will be held at Stephenson Park and in the museum on Saturday, June 15th from 10am to 4pm.
According to museum officials, festival goers can look forward to a quirky and educational setting in addition to carnival-style activities, visitors will have the opportunity to win prizes by participating in hippo and Route 66 Trivia throughout the park.
Hot Wheels races alongside Hungry Hippo battles will bring on the memories while taking a moment to view blue classic cars, or purchase one of the hippo art pieces being created LIVE during the festival. Live musical performances are confirmed in the amphitheater to fit the theme: blues, bluegrass, and rock-n-roll!
