Ayala Vs Apolinario eyed for August 9th!
Back in May it was announced that Zanfer had won the promotional rights to host the IBF Flyweight title bout between Angel Ayala (17-0, 7) and Filipino Dave Apolinario (20-0, 14), winning the purse bid for the fight with a bid of $255,000 and beating out the $215,000 bid of Ohashi Promotions, who promote Apolinario.
It's now been reported by the ever reliable Salvador "Chava" Rodriguez, that the bout between Ayala and Apolinario is being eyed to take place in Mexico on August 9th.

The bout will be for the title that was vacated by Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez, who is set to return to Super Flyweight to face off against Juan Francisco Estrada.
If the bout does take place in Mexico, as planned, it would be his first bout in Mexico, though his fourth outside of his native Philippines following bouts in South Africa and Japan. It would also be the first world title bout for either man, and see Ayala fight his 18th straight bout in his native Mexico.
