Jennifer Lopez & Ben Affleck Might Be Struggling With the Same Hollywood Issue Amid Separation

It seems easy for critics to pile the blame on Jennifer Lopez’s shoulders in the wake of her separation from Ben Affleck, but there is apparently more to the story behind the scenes. It takes “two to tango,” and both people involved in the relationship have to put in the effort. Now, sources close to the estranged couple are pointing out they both have the same Hollywood issue. 

It’s no secret that Lopez has a strong work ethic and loves to tackle multiple projects at once, which means that “there are always people around,” according to In Touch. “Jennifer has a big entourage that follows her around daily — glam squad, videographers, photographers, assistants, trainers,” an insider revealed. “She’s tried to make Ben understand that being Jennifer Lopez is a 24/7 job. SHE is her brand; she lives and breathes it while Ben can leave his word at the door if he chooses to.” 

Her full life didn’t leave them a lot of alone time, but he’s equally as busy with his film work. His production with Matt Damon, Artists Equity, has him producing multiple projects, along with his starring role in The Accountant 2. The source believes that “Ben shares the blame for the state their marriage is in now” because “it also takes two to mess up a relationship.” Affleck and Lopez’s laser vision when it comes to their careers has also left them little time for each other. 

The couple is trying to hold it together by keeping a united front when it comes to their blended family, but their body language looks tense. Closer Online sources are claiming that Lopez has lined up divorce lawyers just in case. “J-Lo knows how to handle a divorce, and she’s already been meeting with lawyers. Even though they’ve been married such a short time, there’s still a ton of assets to divvy up,” an insider alleged. “She’s also hired a special crisis PR team, and they’re brainstorming how she and Ben can cut the cord with as little collateral damage as possible.”

Those assets might include their $60 million Beverly Hills home that suddenly popped up on the real estate site, Zillow, this week. Even though the property is listed as “sold,” the Daily Mail speculated that it might be available as a private listing. Fans of the couple shouldn’t give up hope just yet because In Touch sources say that Lopez has “not given up on her marriage” just yet because “she loves Ben and wants to make their marriage work.” Let’s hope the dynamic duo finds some way to come together again.
