Oklahoma City Public Schools hosting job fair for teachers

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - Oklahoma City Public Schools is hosting a job fair for teachers on Monday, June 10.

According to OKCPS, the fair is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Clara Luper Center for Educational Services at 615 N. Classen Blvd.

Those interested are encouraged to attend, even if they're not experienced in teaching or education. Team members will be there to answer questions about becoming a certified educator.

Officials say OKCPS is looking for teachers including early childhood, elementary education, special education, and secondary math, science, and English language arts. There are benefits that come with being a teacher with OKCPS, like one of the higher starting salaries in the OKC metropolitan area and health benefits. Also, OKCPS pays for the employee’s portion of Oklahoma Teachers’ Retirement.
