Two people dead, man injured after shooting in Deerfield Beach home
Two people are dead and a man was hospitalized after a shooting inside of a home in Deerfield Beach Thursday morning, deputies say.
Just before 6 a.m., the Broward Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a shooting in the 4000 block of Eastridge Drive, according to a media release. There, they found a man in the street with a gunshot wound.
When deputies went into a nearby home, they found two other people with gunshot wounds. Both were pronounced dead. The release did not provide the ages or genders of the two victims inside of the home or say whether they were related to the man in the street. It was unclear whether a suspect is at large, but the release said there “does not appear to be ongoing threat to the community.”
Paramedics took the man to the hospital.
BSO’s Homicide and Crime Scene units are investigating.
