Saratoga's Broadway Deli owners opening new concept

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Daniel and Jen Chessare, the owners of Saratoga's Broadway Deli, are opening up a new concept in the Spa City. Bibulous will be a full-service dessert bar located at 35 Henry Street.

"My wife, Jen, and I enjoy going somewhere for an app, dinner somewhere else, and a couple drinks," said Chessare. "However, after having a two to three-course dinner, sometimes you need a break before you want dessert."

Bibulous, which means "excessively fond of drinking alcohol," will have cocktails, desserts, and a few small plates. Chessare said they plan on having three to four seasonal desserts on the menu with two to three weekly rotating items. They are anticipating Bibulous to be open from 5 p.m. to midnight.

"Walk around town, have a drink, and then grab a dessert without taking up a table at a full-service restaurant," said Chessare.

The Chessares opened Saratoga's Broadway Deli in 2018. The Jewish-style deli, located at 420 Broadway in downtown Saratoga Springs, offers breakfast sandwiches, matzo ball soup, pastrami sandwiches, salads, and a variety of other sandwiches.

The Bibulous space is currently going through renovations, said Chessare, and they are hoping to open in the late summer. You can stay up-to-date on the dessert bar's progress by following the Bibulous Facebook and Instagram pages.
