AUSTIN (KXAN) -- The Austin Police Department is asking for the public's help identifying a suspect detectives believe is connected to a series of burglaries that happened in east Austin earlier this month.
APD said the burglaries happened on June 7 around 5 p.m. in the 1600 block of Chatham Avenue.
Police said during one of the burglaries, the suspect broke into a home in the area holding a knife. Preliminary investigation revealed he may live near the Windsor Park area.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his 20s, approximately 5'6" to 5'8" in height. He has "distinctive tattoos" on both arms, according to APD.
