The Delhi government has appealed to Haryana to release additional water into the Yamuna on humanitarian grounds to address the capital's significant water shortage, according to AAP leader and water minister Atishi. The city's water production has dropped by 70 million gallons per day (MGD) due to a lack of raw water in the Munak canal and Wazirabad reservoir, reducing the normal output from around 1,002 MGD to 932 MGD.
