DeQuincy man killed, suspect arrested in Calcasieu Parish hospital: CPSO
MOSS BLUFF, La. (KLFY) -- A DeQuincy man was killed and the suspect in his death was found in a hospital and arrested, authorities said.
David P. Savoie, 52, of DeQuincy, was found dead in a home in Moss Bluff just before noon Sunday. The cause of death has not yet been determined.
According to the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, detectives determined the death to be a homicide and identified a person of interest as Enrique D. Ruano II, 29, of Lake Charles. After further investigation a warrant was issued for Ruano’s arrest.
Early this morning detectives located Ruano at a local hospital, where he was arrested and charged with second degree murder, officials said. His bond is set at $650,000.
The investigation is ongoing, authorities said.
