LOVE Island’s strongest duo are facing a setback as the aftermath of the saucy Beer Pong challenge continues to wreak havoc.
The lovebirds – who have admitted to each other that they are closed off – could see their connection falter after a frank confession during tonight’s episode.
A Love Island teaser clip sees Welsh couple Ciaran Davies, 21, and Nicole Samuel, 23, under threat as he reveals the saucy comment he made about bombshell Grace Jackson, 25.
Mimii Ngulube, 24, had warned the rugby hunk how talk of his loose lipped remark was spreading through the villa so tonight Ciaran takes the initiative and decides to tell his partner.
Ciaran admits to her: “You know after you kissed, wellI I may have made a comment in passing…
“Omar asked me, if you were going to choose who would it have been instead of me kissing Jess…I said Grace.”
Nicole, on the defensive, then retorts: “Why?
“Right…why would you say something like that?”
Ciaran then responds: “I didn’t mean it, it was out of pettiness because I don’t fancy Grace.”
Nicole then claps back: “Well you obviously do…
“I don’t know what to say…crack on with her…”
Nicole – who vowed to stay away from Welsh rugby boys prior to seeing sparks fly with Ciaran – then delivers the cutting reply: “Comments like that just shows how immature you actually are.”
The quip about emotional maturity comes after Love Island fans were left baffled after Ciaran’s real age – this being 21 – was revealed.
Later on in tonight’s episode, scenes see Ciaran reflect on his confession and he says: “I’ve made my bed, I’ve got to lie in it now.”
Yet ITV2 viewers will have to wait and see if the pair can patch things up.
