Club insider confirms £35m midfielder is on Tottenham’s radar this summer
Tottenham insider Paul O’Keefe has confirmed that a move for Rennes star Desire Doue has been explored by the North London side.
Who is Desire Doue?
Spurs’ interest in Doue first came to light last month when journalist Abdellah Boulma stated that Ange Postecoglou’s men are circling over the winger.
A few days later, The Daily Mail also backed up that claim, adding that the 19-year-old is also on the radars of Man Utd and Arsenal ahead of the summer transfer window.
The outlet asserted that it would take a fee of over £35m to prise the midfielder away from Roazhon Park this summer.
Tottenham are interested in Desire Doue
At the start of this month, TBR Football revealed that Tottenham had already reached out to Rennes over a deal for the youngster.
Interestingly, the publication suggested that the Lilywhites were also exploring a move for his older brother, Guela, who plays as a right-back for Rennes.
O Keefe has now taken to social media to confirm that a move for Desire Doue has been discussed at Hotspur Way.
Spurs Web Opinion
It is not surprising that Tottenham have studied Doue closely, given the way the teenager has progressed over the last 12 months.
However, the Frenchman is likely to be one of many midfield options that Spurs have looked at and there is nothing to suggest that a bid is imminent for the Rennes star.
