Watch live: White House news briefing
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre is delivering a press briefing Monday afternoon.
The briefing follows President Biden's trip to meet other Group of Seven (G7) leaders in Italy last week, where Biden backed language of a G7 communique on reproductive rights despite a reported spat between the leaders of Italy and France over a reference to abortion.
The White House is also planning to put forward new rules to go after companies it characterizes as tax cheats, saying the policy change will lead to $50 billion in increased revenue over the next 10 years.
The briefing is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. EDT.
