Johnsingh recommended measures for better contiguity between habitats for elephants, tigers, and other large mammals, especially between Mukurthi National Park and Mudumalai Tiger Reserve. He also called for landscape-wide conservation covering human-animal interface areas in the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve
