James Brayne had this role at Blues for the last couple of years. He latterly combined it with assisting and concentrating more on the under-21s.

He left to become individual development coach at Charlton in March. Jonathan Grounds then stepped up from the 15s to assist the under-21s.

So the role has been kind of vacant for a bit and Blues have been reorganising their whole academy and academy recruitment structure since October, when the button was pressed to go for Cat 1 again.
