‘Beyond ridiculous!’ fume Emmerdale fans as they lash out at ITV soap and demand it to ‘do better’
EMMERDALE fans have been left unhappy that the soap has left three fathers grieving on the show after killing off their children.
The ITV soap has shown two fathers left heartbroken so far this year after being left floored by the deaths of their kids.
Local vicar Charles Anderson was rocked when son Ethan dropped dead earlier this month amid a tough time for the struggling former lawyer.
Elsewhere, Bob Hope saw his year kick off with a nightmare after son Heath was killed in a teen New Year car smash.
Charles and Bob overwhelming sadness comes just after local doctor Liam Cavanagh dealt with the passing of his daughter, Leanna, at the hands of the soap’s most notorious serial killers, Meena Jutla.
The show has been filled with scenes of grief as all three men coped with the shock losses of their children.
Emmerdale fans have now admitted that ‘enough is enough’ and have begged the show to “do better” and stop killing off many of the single fathers children and leaving them lonely.
Taking aim at the programme, one disgruntled fan said: “For 1 or 2 in the village to have lost a child would perhaps be realistic but this is beyond ridiculous and must be traumatizing for viewers that have gone through this with the amount it is done in the programme.”
In agreement, another fan begged and pleaded as they penned: “Come on Emmerdale – you can do so much better than this.”
Before someone else insisted that the characters had been written awfully for the scenes following losing their children.
They posted online: “It’s very understandable that when you lose a child no matter what the cause there’s going to be unbelievable hurt and depending on the cause some anger but these three have taken it to a new unbearable level.
“They’re angry at the world. Nobody can try to support them without incurring their wrath.
“Charles has got to be one of the most evilest vicars I’ve ever seen especially representing the church.”
The saddening deaths took fans by surprise with neither Heath nor Ethan’s exits announced prior to being shown on-screen.
In the aftermaths of their passing, both Bob and Charles were left lashing out at the world as they refused to accept help from those closest to them to help deal with their grief.
