One hospitalized, another in custody after pedestrian hit by car near Walmart

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- One person is hospitalized and another in police custody after a pedestrian was hit by a car near a Walmart in southwest Columbus Sunday.

According to a Columbus police dispatcher, the incident was reported on the 1200 block of Georgesville Road at approximately 5:57 p.m.

The victim was taken to the hospital in serious condition, but later downgraded to critical condition.

One person, who police said left the scene of the crash, was taken into custody by police and will face charges.
