Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi's address at the start of the 18th Lok Sabha, accusing him of arrogance and diverting from key issues. Kharge and Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh emphasized that Modi ignored significant matters such as the NEET paper leak, railway mismanagement, and violence in Manipur. They pledged that the opposition, under the INDIA Janbandhan alliance, would hold Modi accountable and continue raising important issues both in Parliament and publicly.
