LJLA ORGANISES THIRD EDITION OF QUARTERLY SEMINAR WITH ALIWA
To effectively cultivate their leadership skills and insights, Fellows of the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy (LJLA) have completed the third edition of their quarterly high-impact leadership seminar series in collaboration with the African Leadership Initiative – West Africa (ALIWA), a premier leadership institution affiliated with the Aspen Institute in the USA.
The seminar, themed: “Leading in an Era of Globalisation”, aims to provide Fellows with practical knowledge and discussions focused on a paradigm shift transforming them into lifelong learners, who consistently adapt to new technologies, trends, and market dynamics to remain relevant and effective in building a progressive society.
One of the Facilitators of the Seminar series, Mrs. Habiba Balogun underscored the seminar’s emphasis on fostering leaders who can spark positive change, while highlighting the importance of collaboration for effective growth.
“Leaders must understand that achieving greater accomplishments often requires working together. This seminar series continues to empower Fellows, preparing them to lead effectively and cultivate a minset that embraces growth and innovation on an international scale”, she added.
Executive Secretary of LJLA, Mrs. Ayisat Agbaje-Okunade highlighted the seminar’s role as a catalyst for both personal and professional growth. She stated that it equips Fellows with the skills and mindset necessary to drive positive change in their Society.
“The seminar provides a distinctive platform for Fellows to engage in profound discussions, analyse case studies, and extract valuable lessons applicable to their leadership journeys”, Agbaje-Okunade added.
Additionally, the Fellows embarked on a historical tour of the National Museum to deepen their understanding of their rich culture and history of Nigeria. This experience aims to ignite the appreciation of their heritage and its relevance to their leadership development.
