Two new businesses open on Lark Street in Albany
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Lark Street Business Improvement District held ribbon cuttings for two new businesses on Friday, June 21. Larkin HIFI opened at 199 Lark Street and the New Scotland Spirits Tasting Room opened at 209 Lark Street.
Larkin HIFI is a vinyl record listening lounge with appetizers, sandwiches, cocktails, local beers, ciders, wines and sake. The concept is owned by Nick Warchol, Aaron Wilson, and Richard Holder. Warchol also owns six Herbie's Burgers locations.
New Scotland Spirits is a distilling company that was founded in 2016 by veteran Jesse Sommer. The Tasting Room serves a cocktail menu from its rye, wheat, and bourbon whiskies, vodka and gin, as well as local beer, wine, mead, and cider.
Larkin HIFI is open Monday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to midnight, Friday and Saturday from noon to 2 a.m. and Sunday from noon to 10 p.m. The New Scotland Spirits Tasting Room is open every day from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
