Love Island hit by new bullying row as fans beg producers to step in to stop it happening again
LOVE Island is again at the centre of a bullying row as fans beg producers to step in and put a stop to the “disgusting” villa antics.
It comes after viewers threatened to call Ofcom following the results of Sunday’s double dumping.
After Omar Nyame and Tiffany Leighton, both 25, were given the boot fans have reacted in fury, particular where the PE teacher hunk is concerned.
They have called out apparent instances of “bullying” relating to Omar which included a heated clash with Joey Essex, 33.
Fans also flagged a game where housemates deliberately avoided speaking to Omar as well as Sunday’s comments by his pal Sean Stone – who has since been dubbed a villa “snake” – who claimed his eviction would be to his benefit.
One fan was quick to muse: “Woooooooow after bullying him and acting like he was everyone’s little b***h, they decided to dump Omar from the villa?
“I hate them so much. Omar deserves this adventure way more than Ronnie WTF???”
Another put: “They’re proper isolating Omar…It’s giving bullying!”
A third then wrote: “How these lot have treated Omar is so disgusting.
“Very much bullying. Between the ‘Don’t talk to Omar’ game, Grace spreading rumours about him, Joey trying to step to him and finally Sean eliminating him so that he could have Matilda to himself…
“A lot of weirdos in that villa.”
We reported today how the villa will be rocked by a shock re-coupling tonight, following Omar and Tiffany’s exit.
OFCOM WARNING
After Omar’s furious clash with Towie legend – centred on his supposed flirting with Joey’s partner Grace Jackson, 25 – he was given the boot.
Fans called out the timeline of events, which came after Omar had branded the dispute “annoying.”
At the time, a source said: “Joey cares about Grace and was livid when he heard Omar was flirting with her behind his back.
“It all came to a head on Thursday night.
Love Island - latest dumpings
LOVE Island was rocked by a shock double dumping this weekend. Yet who left?
IT was woe for two bombshells Omar Nyame and Tiffany Leighton, both 25, who were evicted courtesy of their housemates.
Sunday’s double dumping saw the pair selected for failing to find lasting connections in the villa.
It came just hours after Tiffany had confessed there was “something missing” with Ronnie Vint.
Yet viewers threatened to call Ofcom when Omar was promptly booted out shortly after his spat with Joey Essex, 33.
“Joey pulled Omar aside to talk it out and explain how he and Grace were getting serious so Omar needed to back off.
“It escalated from there and they were like a pair of rutting deer – physically squaring up to each other, in each others faces and arguing.
“The other lads pulled them apart and Omar then cooled down by sleeping separately overnight.”
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one fumed: “Nahhh this is shady as hell, Ofcom will hear of this, JUSTICE FOR OMAR.”
TRUTH COMES OUT
Yet, on spin-off series Aftersun, Omar was quick to reveal a telling comment that had been made by Manchester model Grace.
He told host Maya Jama how Grace had let slip that he was “very attractive” during a flirty villa exchange.
Maya said to Omar: “Why do you think [Joey] was threatened by yours and Grace’s relationship?”
He said: “Maybe Grace had told him that she found me attractive and I was her type.
“Maybe that was something that he didn’t really like.”
