OKC Animal Shelter waives dog adoption fees all summer
OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - The Oklahoma City Animal Shelters is waiving dog adoption fees this summer.
According to the OKC Animal Shelter, fees will be waived through August 31 thanks to a donation from the shelter's partner Nexus Pets, Arnall Community Funds and the Oklahoma City Community Foundation.
“This generous donation allows us to extend our mission of finding loving homes for every animal in our care,” OKC Animal Welfare Superintendent Jon Gary said. “It helps us remove barriers to adoption and increase the chances our larger canine companions will find forever homes."
Officials say those looking to adopt can see available dogs at the OKC Animal Shelter located at 2811 SE 29th St., Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. All animals ready for adoption are spayed, neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.

If you're unable to adopt, the shelter also needs people to foster, volunteer or tell family, friends, coworkers and neighbors about the shelter's adoptable pets.
