Off-duty NYPD officer arrested in Queens: police
QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) -- An off-duty NYPD officer was arrested in Queens early Monday, police said.
Robeul Islam, 39, was arrested on assault and harassment charges at around 1:20 a.m., according to the NYPD.
This was the second arrest involving an off-duty NYPD officer early Monday.
Angel Carmona, 52, was arrested after hitting another car near Brooklyn Avenue and Herkimer Street in Crown Heights just after midnight, according to the NYPD.
Carmona was charged with driving while intoxicated, traffic device violation: red light, and driving while ability impaired, officials said. His arraignment was pending on Monday, according to court records.
