Off-duty NYPD officer arrested in Brooklyn: police
BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) --- An off-duty NYPD officer is accused of drunk driving after getting into a car crash in Brooklyn early Monday, police said.
Angel Carmona, 52, was arrested after hitting another car near Brooklyn Avenue and Herkimer Street in Crown Heights just after midnight, according to the NYPD. The cop allegedly had watery blood-shot eyes, alcohol breath, and was unsteady on his feet, police said.
Carmona was charged with driving while intoxicated, traffic device violation: red light, and driving while ability impaired, officials said. His arraignment was pending on Monday, according to court records.
