'I don't appreciate your tone': Cannon snaps at Trump prosecutor amid testy exchange

The federal judge overseeing former President Donald Trump's classified documents case snapped at prosecutors Monday during a tense discussion about their gag order demand, CNN reported Monday.

Prosecutor David Harbach was chastised twice in 20 minutes as he argued Cannon should protect the identities of law enforcement officials tied to the Espionage Act violations case, according to the report.

“I don’t appreciate your tone," Cannon reportedly said.

Cannon also told Harbach should he not meet her standard for decorum she was sure "one of your colleagues can take up arguing this motion," CNN reports.

Habach appeared "irritated" as Cannon demanded he make the connection between Trump's rhetoric outside of court and threats faced by law enforcement officials tied to the case.

Earlier Monday, Cannon scolded James Pearce, Habach's colleague from special counsel Jack Smith's office, during another tense talk about case law.

"Don't interrupt me," Cannon snapped at Pearce.

This is one of four criminal trials involving Trump, who has pleaded not guilty in each and been found guilty in the first, brought to trial by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

Trump contends he is the victim of a political witch hunt.

State and federal prosecutors in Washington D.C., Georgia, Florida and New York contend he criminally attempted to overturn the 2020 presidential election, illegally stored classified information in a social club ballroom and paid hush money to an adult film star.
