On the subject of cricket, Keith Barker still making the point the Bears were mad to let him go six years ago.

It was daft, I never understood why they let him go. Batted well yesterday too

Weren’t they concerned about his injury record. That said we seem to have signed or developed just about every injury prone bowler in the 6 years since he left

I think he wanted a longer contract than we were prepared to offer, which is a bit ironic six years later

Ignore my SHA username, have been a Hants fan since the days of Greenidge and Marshall

Barker has been a great signing for us, making contributions with both bat and ball, with minimal injury downtime

Often wondered why we don't play him in limited overs format but I guess this has been to prolong his red ball career

He still plays Birmingham League I gather
