Protests erupted in Mangolpuri, northwest Delhi, as a mosque's parts were demolished due to alleged encroachment. The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) led the demolition drive, supported by heavy police and paramilitary presence. The action aimed to address illegal encroachment at the mosque in Mangolpuri's Y block. Locals gathered and protested as the drive began at 6 a.m., with unconfirmed reports of stone pelting. However, the police denied such incidents, and Deputy Commissioner of Police (outer) Jimmy Chiram stated that the situation was under control.
