‘Roll up your sleeves’ says Roy Keane as ITV pundit responds to England star Declan Rice’s call for ‘love’
ROY KEANE has responded to Declan Rice’s call for “love” by telling England stars to “roll up your sleeves”.
The Three Lions have come under fire during their Euro 2024 campaign for their lacklustre performances.

However, Keane has argued that modern players such as Rice have become more “delicate” to criticism.
The former Manchester United star made his feelings clear as he insisted that if the England players improve, they will get praise.
Speaking on ITV, he said: “I definitely think the modern player seems to be a bit more delicate to criticism.
“There is more of it with social media particularly, I judge these players by actions.
“We know how quickly football changes if England get on a good run of form.
“Declan Rice is talking about ‘show us some love’ come on, it is serious stuff.
“Some people have made sacrifices, you get the love back when you perform.

“We all played at a decent level, and when things are going well, people are patting you on the back.
“But the reality is when you are not performing, you get criticised.
“It is a part of your journey.
“I know people think I am a dinosaur and old school, but roll your sleeves up.
“This is such a talented group of players. Go and perform, and you will get plenty of plaudits.”
