Over the past few seasons, OG Anunoby and Mikal Bridges were touted as the premier starter-level wings that every team is dying to have, who could fit anywhere, and would cost a lot to acquire since there are so few players like them.

Providing Knicks can sign Anunoby it will be an interesting exercise for Thibodeau to plot out a lineup. Whatever the choice it is a deep and talented roster – along with 3 picks in the draft (although I wouldn’t be surprised now if they try to push at least 1 pick for a future) – 11:26 PM

The Bridges trade almost def takes NYK out of running for PG, but doesn’t have to jeopardize Anunoby’s future there.

OG Anunoby intel: The George interest surfaced at a curious time, after the Knicks low-balled forward OG Anunoby during early free agent discussions on a potential new deal, as Brian Windhorst first reported, and league sources confirmed to HoopsHype. When the Knicks first acquired Anunoby, the belief was that he’d land a deal in the $30-35 million a year range annually, league sources told HoopsHype. Now, however, that value has gone up, starting at $35 million annually to his maximum starting salary for next season, sources said. New York remains committed to re-signing Anunoby, and despite the start to negotiations, the Knicks remain the favorite to keep Anunoby this summer in the eyes of rival executives. -via HoopsHype / June 24, 2024
